It's correct that these free to air softcore stations only transmit via satellite, not on terrestrial Freeview.

However, have you considered getting Freesat from Sky? It costs 150.00 as a one-off payment but it includes the installation of the dish and all other equipment required.

It would allow reception of many free to air channels (including all the main ones) and they also throw in a viewing card which decodes channels four and five, so you'd have the full set, including the likes of Babestation etc.

You could also subscribe to the slightly harder subscription channels such as TVX, Live XXX etc.

Another benefit is that if in the future you want to subscribe to any of Sky's packages you can, just by phoning them up.

You could also buy a free to air satellite package from somewhere like Maplins (around 80.00) but you'd then have to pay for installation which would push the total price up to 150.00 - 200.00, and you'd also miss out on the Sky EPG, which is very useful.

You'd also not be able to receive Channels 4 and Five which need the Sky viewing card to decode them, even though they are non subscription channels (it's a copyright issue).
