Joking aside and apart from the odd incursion into Liechtenstein is the Swiss model of a purely defensive army not a good one to copy.

Thank heavens Switzerland is not a NATO country. Just imagine what could happen if Swiss soldiers would be part of the "peace-keeping mission" in Iraq. What if they accidentally invaded Iran? I don't think Iran would respond as laconically as Liechtenstein does.
