always fascinated by the bredth of opinions on this forum on matters relating to race and culture so Im curious, was it correct for him to be fired for referring to some soldiers as 'Black Bastards'

I thought he justified it quite well by saying the gingers got it and the fat ones got it too....

Been in the army:this is very mild to what really is said.But that's a way of life thats gone on through the centuries.My great,great Grandfather served at the battle of Waterloo (not the station during the rush hour),with a scottish regiment,and I expect language was even rougher still facing the enemy.

It's a way of life that still exists,it's tough,raw,and cover your ears.

Not for the faint hearted.A fighting machine thats trained to kill.

He was blunt for his own good, however, he was spot on regarding the influx of recruits from Commonwealth countries.
I saw the initial influx from Zimbabwe, Fiji and Jamaica and these lads were switched on, dedicated and focused.
However, times have changed to the point that the MoD is DESPERATE for recruitment and the intake from overseas is greater than initially, hence the training is easier and the qualifications required are not as high. As a result, you get a 'less enthusiastic' recruit enlist.
With the promise of a British passport after 5 years with HM Armed Forces, there was an avalanche of applications from Commonwealth citizens, who in many cases, sign off within a month of completing their 5 years as they have secured their passport.
I must say that its not JUST the overseas soldier thats a lazy cunt, many privates and NCO's from Britain are equally lazy and couldn't give two fucks and the ONLY reason they enlisted was that there was fuck all else for them.
If the British Army needs to fulfill its recruitment from its own country, National Service is the only answer. Failing that, then they should enlist everyone of the 15,000 Nepalese that apply every year where only 800 are taken on as a Gurkha. These are without doubt, the best infrantry in the world.
I'm happy to elaborate with any questions regarding the race situation in the Army as I got out a few years back, but still see my old muckers regularly and still socialise on camp often.

fascinating stuff Ace, never realised the obvious, of course the MOD must be desperate for new Cannon Fodder and this seems like a good way to speed up recruitment whilst avoiding the political hot potato of National Service, 5 years service with a passport at the end of it, sounds almost too good to be true, especially if you sign up as a cook or something like that.
