Funnily enough I was reading a book that kinda skimmed this very topic about a month ago.
Some people smell colour, while others see sounds................
...............well, kind of.
The people that smell colour had to view the colour with their eyes before the smell came. So showing colours to someone with a blindfold meant they either smelled nothing at all, or smelled the 'guess' they thought the colour might be. Thus they're not really smelling colours, it was just the sight of the colours that triggered the smelling sensation.
If this is the same for seeing music, then these people wouldn't see the music without first hearing the notes being played.
The colours aren't the music itself, just a reaction in the brain that shows some sort of illusion upon hearing the sounds first.
Renee Descartes told us no one could trust our senses 100%. He was most definitely correct. !laugh!
