All I remember about Blue peter really was Joey Deacon, and how upset it made me to see him as a kid, I remember some dramatisation of his life on there or something, and his shoe fell in the water when he was on a boat near London bridge, as clear as anything I can remember that, "Joey" became common playground slang at that time as well, and I've still heard it used now, but as a term for a Goffer.

Though we are taking the piss Blue Peter has been responsible for a true britsh role model/ icon..........John Noakes !!!!! How can you get better than a guy who held the longest free fall parachute jump, almost killed himself in a bob sleigh and climbed about 10 million miles without proper safety equipment.
