If it was THEIR error in posting it up for that price in the first place, aren't they legally obliged to sell it to you at that price, as you placed the order in good faith?

Keep all e-mail correspondence and your order, and give your local C.A.B. a bell.

Nope, because when you order stuff, especially on pre-order, there's usually a bit of small print about "this is not a contract to sell" blah blah blah. They have a legal right to change their pricing as long as they don't charge you more than you thought you were paying. As long as they don't take the money, they've done nothing wrong.

In high street shops they have to sell you items at what they are priced up at, which is how I got two boxed sets of Strange Report for ?12.99 each from Virgin once, which I think should have been ?49.99 and rang through the till at that price. "Excuse me, they've got ?12.99 on the label" - "Oh, sorry mate, that'll be ?25.98 then".

I have blasted amazon to the point my membership has now been cancelled.
Ned is correct, amazon have covered themselves from legal pursuits with their small print.
A shoddy company
