Hello chaps!!

All ways been a bit of a fan of Cat Stevens,but just bought a best of CD and realised that he if fecking amazing!! Any one out there ever caught him live? And knowing what circles some of you folks travel in....had any one ever met him?

You just have to look at how many of his songs have been covered in recent years, BB, to see you are not the only one who appreciates his music.

Post 9/11, he was one of the artists US radio stations wouldn't play. Subversive Islamic songs like Peace Train are just too scary.

I recently bought Tea For The Tillerman, and 35 years on from its recording it still sounds fresh.

amazing artists, a friend of mine is lucky enough to have him as a friend of the family, they get together once a year over in greece, hes meant to be an amazing guy

Matthew &son was the 1st time i heard of him back in 1967.

Tea For The Tillerman is one of my favourite LPs and to me, is one of the best albums ever.

Sorry to put a spanner in the works, but I think he's shite, always did, came across as a pretentious dickhead.
Only decent song he ever wrote was "First cut is the deepest", sung by the Black American soul singer, P.P. Arnold.
