Yeah, those are the innocents I mentioned in my previous post who shouldn't have been victimised.

In the Netherlands nazi memorabilia are not illegal, but people are not allowed to wear them in public. 'Mein Kampf' is forbidden.

I know a collector of nazi medals and he is neither a nazi nor a psycho. He is just interested in German history. I know quite a few people who collect German field post letters and covers with stamps from concentration camps. None of them sympathizes with the Third Reich. Their collections are documentations of WW2.

All teaching of hate is dangerous, but don't get swept away in the current post-9/11 propaganda. The extreme views you've noticed are nasty but in a small minority. You seem to think that Poland's a long way away - presumably you'd have said the same about Germany in 1939? The Polish government is fascist in its nature... that's right, I said "government", not a few nutters in a community centre.

As a Jew I'm well aware of the threat from Islamic nuts. But get things in perspective. The threat to Europe isn't from these living room jihadists, it's from the rise in the far right, who are actually using the "Islamic threat" to frighten Britons into thinking that "something needs to happen". Just as "something needed to happen" about the Jewish threat in the 1930s (and members of my family died as a result).

You make some good points SB, all of which I actually agree with. However I think you missed my point. I wasn't implying that Islamic extremism is a bigger threat due to their number (they are indeed a minority), but unlike Nazi fascism, Islamic fascism is taught to young children an a major scale.....in the UK. Nazi beliefs are not, and would probably be banned anyway. It's not the number of extremists I'm wary of, but the number of liberal Muslims -and children- these extremists teach and spread the word to.

I never said Poland was far away and unimportant, I just stated that I couldn't really comment as I know little about a fascist re-emergence in that part of Europe. (I've heard murmurings of such an emergence in Russia however). Nazism however is an old threat we've dealt with before. I can't see Europe taking in the propaganda a second time. Yes there may be a slight threat, and yes I feel we should be vigilant, but I still believe that Islam itself is the bigger threat, followed a by a growing evangelical threat from the USA.

I guess the main difference is that Nazi's target other young adults who already have racist/fascist views of their own anyway, while Islamic, racist, fascism is pushed to all Muslims through religion, from a young age.

As an adult I can choose. A fascist, wanting to recruit me, I can tell where to stick it. As a Muslim child I may be afraid or brainwashed into the 'belief'. As a Muslim adult I may be risking been thought of as a bad Muslim, or an outcast from the community, for not going to Mosque and listening to their shit, fascist teachings.

My conclusion is that Islamic fascism is taught to more people in Europe, on a wider scale, and more frequently than the Nazi fascists could ever dream of. Nazi fascism has no respect amongst ordinary folk, while Islamic fascists hide under the veil -forgive the pun- of religious respect.

This 'untouchability' gives Islamic fundamentalists a freedom Nazi's don't have, and in that, the Islamic, fascist threat has a big advantage, and again, with that, is the bigger threat to our society right now.

I used to spend a lot of time criticizing Islam on here in the noughties - but things are much better now.

Same could be said of the English treatment of the Scottish. Further back but just as brutal, how many years does it take to forgive a nation without forgeting the events. And the Polish community are planning a TV channel for the Polish X-Pats living here. approx 650,000 of them.
The polish fought against the Germans, their pilots came here to fly our planes.

"The threat to Europe isn't from these living room jihadists, it's from the rise in the far right,"

Oh, really? So how many European 'far right' terrorist atrocities and murders have there been recently? I must have missed them on the news.

However, I couldn?t help but notice a plethora of ISLAMIST murders, outrages, and plotting of late - like these here, for instance. Didn't you hear about them? Were you being held incommunicado when these incidents came to light? Or maybe you would ascribed these notable news items to a fascist, Neo-Con, conspiracy to besmirch the good name of enlightened, progressive, pious, peace-loving Islamists everywhere?

Jerry, just how long have you been suffering from this delusional psychosis?
