Yes I watched this series on and off when first shown on BBC
Put ITV3 on last week and managed to see the 1st ever episode
Still not a bad programme to watch
Think all the main characters gel well as a team although I
always liked Dudley Sutton as an actor. Normally he seemed to play
a mad/psycho/villain type in most of his roles before Lovejoy
Most of the mad parts seemed to go to him or Freddie Jones at the tie
Lovejoy

Re: Lovejoy
Lovejoy is perfectly acceptable Sunday evening entertainment (always liked the subtle asides to the camera), and nothing to be ashamed of. The sort of thing the BBC actually do well, when they're not doing it rubbish, if you see what I mean.
btw - enough of Winstone and showboating Kingsley, sorry, Sir Ben Kingsley, McShane was the best thing in Sexy Beast, and he's excellent in Deadwood too.

"Let's do it..."
Re: Lovejoy
Yes McShane wasn't on screen enough in Sexy Beast
Did you see Births,Marriages and Death a few years ago on beeb?
Winstone was good in that along with Phil Davis, another actor I like -
apart from that series Rose and Maloney.. oh god why did he do that!!

Re: Lovejoy
Lovejoy was the business. I've got all 6 seasons on DVD and very much enjoy digging an episode out now and again - which isn't as often as I'd like, because 'Er Indoors thinks it's utter crap.
Re: Lovejoy
I read one of the Lovejoy novels once, it was complete crap, I'll never touch another. The TV series, by contrast, was excellent viewing. Odd.
Re: Lovejoy
In his Hollywood days Ian McShane's girlfriend was Emanuelle herself-Sylvia Crystal.
