Brian Blessed

Post by BeestonBoy »

He has just started doing an advert on my local radio station, and un like every other radio advert I have ever heard this one actually makes me smile every time. Bloody love the bloke!! Could listen to him talk for hours.

One of the reasons i like him so much is because an old girl friend of mine is from the village in which he lives and she once informed me that he is the Santa at the local primary school every single year. How cool would that be? Brian Blessad as Santa. Forget all his other work, that is the roll I would like to see most of all!!

Any way once again im forced to ask....has any one ever met the some what larger than life chap?

Happy easter you crazy kids

no im afraid to say ive never met him, although he would be on the top of my list of people to meet.

He seems to have a real zest for life and alarger than life persona to much. amongst his many claims to fame i believe he is the olderst person to get the farthest ascend of mount everest.

"flying blind on a rocket cycle!!" who else could get away saying that.

He has a booming stentorian voice that equals James Earl Jones and also matches the man for size too.I've found him a very likable and respect his work too. Whats not to like?

His death scene in I Claudius is without peer in the annals of television (or cinema, come to that).

Agreed. Minutes with the camera on his face, people talking around him, and not a movement----eyes wide open.

He can be shouty and OTT, but at his best, an excellent actor.

'I Claudius' was fucking amazing - despite the dodgy sets, costumes and Ian Ogilvy. I wasn't allowed to watch in the 1970s but saw the whole thing on dvd at one sitting, a couple of years ago. What was the name of the actress who played Livia? Sian something? She was fabulous...a Roman MILF if ever there was one.
