I have upgraded to a pentium 4 running Windows XP and its phenominal in its handling of picture files. The icons in Explorer are speedy thumbnails of the pics, folders show subicons of sample pics within, slideshows are simple, scrolling through full size pics is instant and there is a movie maked that I have yet to get to grips with, and more...

the only problem is its not compatable with a lot of other programmes that were made for windows 98. you might find you have to download a winXP patch for every new tool/programme or application you install.

Also remember that the movie maker needs a capture card to import footage, and it only outputs as a wmf which is okay for most people I suppose.
