Jimmy 14-8 up on Hendry, Hendy winning 10 on the trot in '92.

This year?

Dott means business- don't write him off.

O'Sullivan-Ding could determine the eventual winner.

Maguire-Perry is another tasty one.

Snooker. Pure theatre. Seriously, I hit my first century in 4 years last week......... !pleased!

Just as long as Ebdon's games are shown exclusively on the paintdrying channel, I don't give a damn. Extended coverage of lightbulb head taking an hour to line up a shot should be barred under the convention of human rights.

I remember watching Cliff Thorburn 'grinding out' a win, but he's like Hurricane Higgins flying around the table compared to Ebdon.

I was at the Crucible for last years tournament, we went for one day, what a great venue and a fantastic event, I hope it never gets poncy and moves dern serf, Sheffield is spot on for hosting it.

actually alice i do sort of agree,robertson is a terrific player but im going for ronnie,

There is no questioning Ronnie's genius- he has acheived so much- with all his demons on board.

I'm talking about all-out ability.

Alex, although, his lifestyle curbed any chance of genuine success, would double balls left, right and centre in practice. Furthermore, he is the finished article in terms of genius- he had presence and charisma. People would go to his matches to watch amazing snooker- but half the crowd would be watching Hurricane sit down.

I have several theories on why he is a crushed, bitter and broken man. Alcohol and drugs are part of the equation.

But like El Diego taking on FIFA, or any individual taking on a large institution, the WPBSA crushed Alex as he was 'too dangerous' and, to be completely fair, probably thought he was above the sport. That wanker Barry Hearn had a large part to play in his demise also.
