You can see the pain written all over her face.

Right then... after being mentioned several times on this thread, I'll just do my own little conclusion of some of the things that have been 'concluded' by this passion-fuelled debate...

Bring on the charges:

Hooligan: I am guilty as charged... I am a proud, loud hooligan.

Phsyco: Guilty as charged... Where's the fun if you can't be a little crazy?

Deep Rooted Immotional Issues: Guilty as charged... I have millions of
them, impossibly damaged! !wink!

Thinking Getting A Tattoo Will Solve My Problems: Not guilty, y'r Honor!

Honest, Guv, I swear the thought of saving my sanity/life/the World never crossed my mind as I sat in the chair. Dragon on my back is a simbol of good luck in both my Native Welsh, and in Asian cultures (the dragon is also thought to ward of evil spirits and protect in both cultures...), previously to porn, and university, I was in S.E Asia for a year, teaching English as a Foriegn Language, I had the Dragon tattood as a symbol of good luck before my journey.
The Butterfly/Flower combo to me is beautiful. I had it to simbolise that beautiful things come together, like the butterfly to the flowers.

My mantality on tattooing may not be to everyones taste, or reasoning, I mean some people would think "How can someone sane believe a dragon tattoo could bring you luck and ward off evil spirits???"
and
"Why can't you just think in your brain about beautiful things coming together, why did you have to get it tattooed?"

Well, because I find tattoos astheticaly pleasing. I just like them. I don't even want to argue the whole individuality gimmick, I just like tattoos.
I don't expect everyone to have the same opinion, but I also don't expect all of the amatur psyco-analisis-sluthes to crucify me, and judge my state of mental well-being... my boyfriend is there to do that...!wink! And if I get sick of them, either tough, it's not like I'm going to die because I don't like my tattoo anymore, and I'm not ashamed to say that if I really didn't like them any more, I'll get them removed, however, for the time being, I'm going to enjoy my beautiful body-art, and piercings right after I finish this post, espesially that clit one... yep, I'm off to enjoy that one today.

Like em or not, there going to be around for a long time, they have been around for a long time... If anyone wants to come around to mine for a cup of tea, or coffee, I'll show you my tattoo book collection, that could probably answer any other questions you might have...

Have a nice day, everyone.

Heh, I can personally vouch that they don't work.
As in, they don't fade.
I have one on my back, it looks exactly the same now [7 years later] as it did the day I got it. No sign of it disappearing anytime soon.

Isobel, i'd lve to take you up on high tea at Chez Ice.

The tattoo book will be nice, before having a closer inspection of your tattoos!

!wink!

I was gonna say 'closer inspection of your tats', but i've seen enough of them on t'interweb!

You are entitled to your view, as am I. No harm done.

I have a brilliant idea!! After you've married Turney, why don't you and her open your very own tattoo parlour?

Love tattoos, but then i've got 5 myself... the only one i've got that I'll no doubt regret in later years is the huge, gothic fonted "99 Problems" across my shoulders.... inked days after my divorce came through a while back ;) ... short for "99 Problems and a Bitch Ain't One" to quote Jay-Z. Will look great when i'm a grandad! (not)

On women I think they look great, if they fit with the overall image of that particular person. Isabel's dragon is awesome (I would say that being Welsh-born myself), and heavily tattooed models like Thorn (www.modelthorn.co.uk) and Talullah (www.tallulahtease.co.uk) are among my faves. Alexis Silver mentioned getting a full (or half?) sleeve done a while back, when I met her, if I remember correctly - now that would just be uber-rude.

Women sloping out of Aldi with greasy slicked back hair, a fag daggling from their lips, and their slippers on, sporting something 'oriental' on the small of their backs is enough to make my vomit copiously however...
