Yeah the U.S. is looking for a reason to go to war with Iran and a lot of us know it and don't agree with it but unfortunatly the government just extended the tour of duties for our armed services members from 12 to 15 months with NO sympathy FROM those who voted for this. I imagine that the troups on the ground ain't liking this one bit.

What you need in the US military is a few brave patriotic generals who will confront the non combatant Bush and tell him that they are going to impeach him for lying to justify an unjust war.

The religiously insane on America's right want to fulfill the prophecy of Armageddon in the Middle East and the prize is the oil to perpetuate the global capitalist system that will collapse when the oil runs out. There are alternatives to oil and this is what America's efforts should be going into instead of The Third World War.

I work in that field,and believe me it's only sabre rattling.
They did nothing about the sailors,why? Well basically the public wants out,Nixon sabre rattled before he withdrew from vietnam,look tough.then sneak out the backdoor while nobody's looking.
Short of a direct Iranian attack what can Bush do? The Iranians aren't daft,they're playing bluff,and winning.The Iraqi government is close to Iran,and any attack would mean it collapsing,so much for the Bush argument about the invasion being about democracy.It's the only paddle he's got left.If he had half a brain he'd have made his peace with Iran years ago,then let their troops keep order in Iraqi streets while he and his Father continue to rake in millions of dollars for their oil business.
Let's get out of there,use any excuse,then let the region sort itself out,the west certainly can't.
