There are people walking around that have no right to be. A guy cuts off his dick in a restaraunt! he was clearly deranged and in need of critical mental care, but that is not available in this country anymore, basically if you are mentally unbalanced or even potentialy a threat to your fellow man, no one gives a crap, youir on your own, there are a lot of unbalanced individuals who are roaming the streets.... they are timebombs waiting to go off, and there is no help for them, or the rest of us. Well, if its any comfort, things aren't any better 'down under'. About 20 years ago some academic morons decided that people with "certain issues" should not be treated differently, rather they should be "integrated back into society".
The idea was that no one was mentally ill - just different. Just because they wanted to stab your baby because it was Satan's child was no reason to deny them their civil rights. After all - perhaps your baby really WAS Satan's child and they were doing society a favour by killing it. That was the level of ridiculous argument used to justify this line of thinking.
My uncle was completely out of his mind with schizophrenia and several times tried to set fire to peoples homes because he thought they were out to get him. Not once did the authorities suggest his freedom be restricted for the safety of others. He died a few years ago - much to the relief of the whole family.
