Yes I remember those days making up a tape for a walkman or the car.
I rember in my car cruising days when fri eve or sat eve would come around again and after spening all day cleaning the car it was time to get out the tape box and make up a box of tapes for the evenings fun.
And oh how annoying was it when a tape chewed up !!
I bought only the other day from argos a Sound blaster which converts audio from tape and Lp( cat number 676/7536) to mp3.A great bit of kit,so I have all my old tapes out and am converting them to mp3 so I can make up a disc to play in the car.Funny how some things dont change eh ???
lol

Re: Do you miss recording on audio cassette?
I'm glad SOMEBODY posted about this. Ever since I got a computer in 2005 or 2006 I've had music on my computer. I just bought a 250mb mp3 player earlier this year and a 512mb mp3 player recently and I just bought a cell phone with an mp3 player in it with memory cards you have to buy to store pics and music in. NOW GET THIS: I STILL play and record on cassette tapes since the cars I own still have cassette players in them. If I want to play my mp3s in my car or semi truck I have a cassette adapter I plug in the headphone jack of the mp3 and I jam from there. And yep I still have ALL of my cassette tapes and players.
Re: Do you miss recording on audio cassette?
In 1980 i was taping The Stooges LP Funhouse which i now have on CD the tape was miles from record player so it took me 3 tries to place the arm on the record then race to the tape and press the button.
Re: Do you miss recording on audio cassette?
Still got a lot of my pre-recorded tapes as they've either not come out on CD or I've not yet gotten around to "upgrading" them to CD! Still got all my old compilation tapes as well...lots of nostalgia value there!
