I'm wondering why this particular story, albeit highly distressful for the parents, has commanded a vast amount of press coverage?

Unfortunately every so often we hear stories similar to this, but they have not received the same amount of publicity! Therefore it begs the question; why has this one been singled out by the media for special 'treatment'?
