Alex Hleb, Alex Song, Julio fucking Baptista.

Possibly the worst of Wenger's signings is bloody Jeremie Aliadiere though. He's been at Arsenal for nearly eight years and hasn't done anything, either there or on his many loans, to suggest he has any talent at all. If you can't even get into Celtic's team, as he couldn't last season (05/06) then it's time to retire.

At Spurs, with a proud tradition of signing the useless, Ramon Vega is the worst I've seen in 25 years. Given the number of rivals for that crown, that's really saying something.

In value for money terms it's got be Rebrov (a good player ruined by Hoddle), and Postiga, who was absolute shite but showed 'some lovely touches' so never got what he deserved from the crowd, and Dean Richards. Of the three Postiga wins it for me.

Still, those times are behind us. We are all blinded by the shining light that is Dimitar Berbatov. A total god.

I remember when you lost 3-5 to Man Utd having gone in 3-0 up at half time. The commentators were proclaiming Dean Richards as a world beater in the first half ... not an opinion that was expressed during the second 45 mins !grin! One of JS Veron's better games for Man Utd as I remember.

Alex Song looks great for Charlton. How could you forget Stepanovs the central defender ?

Stepanovs got loads of flak, but I remember him having a few good games. As for Song, it's easy to look good in a bad side

Wasn't it Souness who also made the biggest cock up ever by signing
a player who would not have got into a pub team?. Believe he had never
seen him play but had been told he was a relative of George Weah ( I think)
That was good enough for Souness but don't think he got to play more than
20 minutes before the penny dropped. Probably when he was manager
at Southampton
