Regarding the reds, surely Abel Xavier would be in with a shout.

I hadn't seen that article. Is it recent or an archived story?
I forgot about Ferri and Meijer.

Yes, not one I'll forget in a hurry...that and the bastard Everton game.
Richards actually had a brain tumour subsequently, which the club used to try and explain away his performances after he left. I felt for the guy, but he was tripe from the word go. Another genius buy by Hoddle. I think he cost us ?8.5million, back when you could buy a pie, two blowjobs and a small house for a fiver, and we got nothing back for him.
Still, at least he didn't steal his transfer fee from the club that gave him everything, like that cunt Campbell. Not a word I use a lot, but when the cap fits...

Where do I start? Luton have signed so many donkeys over the 30 years I've been supporting them...but here goes!
We haven't had a decent keeper since Kelvin Davis left...we've had Mark Ovendale, Karl Emberson, and Marlon Beresford to name 3...couldn't catch a cold the lot of 'em!
When we sold Matt Taylor to Pompey, who did we get to replace him? Alan Kimble, who was 36 when we signed him, and slower than a hippo with no legs.
Warren Feeney over the last season comes to mind as well, a striker that couldn't score any goals? What use is that!
Adam Boyd as well....signed by Newell for ?500k, hardly played, hardly scored...what a waste of money!
There's probably many more I've not mentioned, and I'm sure it could be argued that since we've not been in the top division since 91/92 that we've not had any decent players, but we've sold plenty of quality ones since then, especially in the last couple of years! Oh well, at least we'll be playing Leeds again next season!

I concur!
Song was amongst our best 3 players this season!
However, our very own Dennis Rommedahl must feature in any list of current Premiership misfits. This buffoon surely MUST be shown the exit this close season!

Re: Worst football Player
Probably Bruno Cherou (came with a great reputation and departed to who knows where) although Diouf and Diao were also very mediocre. Having said that, we had some very crap players in the 1990s like Piechnic and Kozma. Oh, those awful Souness-era memories... Arghhhh!!!

All worthy of a "Worst Player" award if it weren't for...
WINSTON BOGARDE
... although with only 11 appearances in 4 years, it's difficult to judge how bad he really was.
Did anyone here ever see him play? (I only ask because in a career spanning 16 seasons with 7 clubs and his national side he only played 223 games. That's a shade under 14 games a year!)

Ah yes - the guy who had 4 years at Chelsea and was getting paid 50 grand a week for NOT playing football !footie!
Didn't he not feature in the team at all one season - but still collected his win bonus for the club winning the FA Cup?!

Almost correct... it was "only" ?40,000 a week... and yes he got a win bonus when Chelsea won the FA Cup without ever playing a minute of football for the club that season.
