James Woods - Once Upon A Time In America.
This may also be the best gangster film, btw.

Richard Attenbrough in 'Brighton Rock' .. okay, he was going for something Joe Pesci nailed down much more successfully many years later but it's not without its charm.
A film I saw last year which has a mob sub plot is John Cassavetes' 'The Killing Of A Chinese Bookie'. Ben Gazzara plays the lead and he's not a gangster but it's in that ballpark. If you get the chance to see it do because it's pretty astonishing stuff. American independent cinema at its best years before it was re-branded by Sundance.

Eric Bana in "Chopper". So good even the Hulk didn't ruin the reputation he'd built from that film.
Are you actually speaking english, or are you just making up words as you go along? I do that too...
Re: Best Gangster Role
Woods is always good in films what was that film where him and sean penn played irish american gangsters.
