If only. The cunt's on the gravy train for life. Not bad for a failed barrister with a cheesy grin.

Nonsense. Our Tone's in love with the meeja and can work any camera like a pro, and though a post-PM Blair will have his finger in many a profitable pie, I have doubts about the much more low-key profile ex-PMs usually opt for.

It's unlikely we've seen the last of him, perhaps.

Let's just say he didn't make his mark. He got a poor degree, and was lucky to smarm his way into Derry Irving's chambers. He got into politics as quickly as he could after that.

Loathe her or loathe her, it has to be admitted that Cherie is a better lawyer than her two faced slag of a husband, who found his perfect niche in politics.

"The boy Blair got a 2nd class degree, like virtually everybody!"

He got a poor 2nd I believe. In the 70's Oxford did not give 2:1's or 2:2's, but I think he was more towards the latter. Based on his results he would not have got into Irving's chambers, so I have read that he used his famous public school charm, which I think of as smarming.

Cherie got a 1st from the LSE, and on any objective measurement is cleverer than Tone and a better lawyer. Mind you, she's still a greedy old bag. I think they're well suited.

"The Rt Hon Sir Tony Blair (as he will soon be titled!) seems to have done pretty well as a lawyer in reality."

How do you work that out? He practised as a junior barrister for a few years, became an MP, and has only been in a court since then when he's been the accused.
