most british manufacturing can't compete with south east asia because of the cost of wages why do you think that the likes of dyson have moved,thatcher realised this and began to change our economy for the better,look around, people are better off than they used to be,its easier for people to succeed in business and to improve themselves,britain is a lot wealthier than in the 70's which i mostly remember for,strikes,the 3 day week,and power cuts,and commie sponsored marches.
