If you use Direct debits any payments take ages...about 12 days..days to clear from your account to paypal and then days to clear to theirs..not ideal in this day and age.

Bigasslover,

Paypal is quite easy to understand when after a few years of confusion and sniggers from the computer literate elite you will just concentrate on filling in the forms.

There is two ways of using Paypal:one to pay someone one to receive money from customers. In the case of you wanting to pay someone anywhere in the world you just log in and fill in the details of whom you want paid and the amout. Paypal then debit your bank account and pay the recipient.

Just relax and fill in the forms! In the second instance : receiving money you just have the logo on your site and customers are told wht to do in order to pay you. As soon as you receive Paypal will inform you
I think the advntage to the customer is that the recipient does not have the debit/credit card details

Just one word of warning dont use paypal for any transactions which involes porn otherwise you are likely to have your account frozen along with any money thats in it at the time, it happened to me and i had to threaten them with court action to get hold of my dosh !thumbsdown!
