Try being a Sunderrland fan mate now that has been a bit disappointing.
19 points in season 2002/03! Lowest points total ever in the premiership!
15 points in season 2005/06! See above in fact its the lowest by any league team in the history of English football.
Add only one major trophy won since 1937 for a supposed big club and you could say life as a Sunderrland has been disappointing!
Never mind Keano and Quinn look promising just hope we can get some new players in soon!!!!
No Thierry Henry Threads?
Re: No Thierry Henry Threads?
I can't believe some Arsenal fans. The guy is a legend. The best overseas player to play in England by an absolute mile and he isn't past it or finished by any means.
My best mate is a Gooner and he tried to tell me it was good business getting ?16m for a bloke that turns 30 in August but this is Thierry Henry and he for my money is absolutely priceless.
It's a big loss for Arsenal but it's a big loss for our League as well.

I have lived the Sunderland road as my best pal is a Sunderland old faithful. And I admire his loyalty. Great comeback this season and I wish you all the best.
Back to slashing my arms now. I have cut myself so much I think the face of Henry has appeared in the scars.

Re: No Thierry Henry Threads?
Nah not having that.
Viera was a top player for Arsenal but over the last 4 or 5 years Henry has been the best player in the world bar none.
If Wenger leaves then no doubt more players will go as well but in the next 12 months David Dein and Stan Kroenke could come back and takeover Arsenal and if they do then Wenger will stay.
Alot of ifs, buts, ands and maybes at the moment though.

Cheers Marino!
Your a star mate!
I think Sunderland will be okay in season 2007/08. Nothing spectacular but we will definitely stay up. Put it this way we will get more points in the season coming up then our last 2 seasons in the premiership added together. Thats more than 34 points and people can post on this forum and give me grief if they want if we dont.
Marino all the best for your beloved Gooners in your Henry free season but you will be fine. Take six points of the magpies but go easy on Sunderland.

Warren. It's long been my belief that you come on this Forum to do one of two things and maybe you can enlighten me as to which one it is.
You either come on here either to a). To talk total rubbish in which case I feel sorry for you or b). You actually don't believe what you say but you just talk total nonsense because you like to stir things up and have an argument just for the sake of having an argument. You'd say grass was red if you thought you could get a rise out of somebody.
Which one is it?
Back to the Henry subject. He wasn't just a good and consistent player. He was and still is a player of the very highest class. The best in the world in alot of people's opinion. Many many others would say he was at the very least in the top 3 or 4.
Viera was a good player for Arsenal and brought leadership as well as a physical presence but he was never the best in the world. Good but never the best but simply trying to put the reasons for Arsenal's demise totally on the departure of Viera shows your lack of knowledge on football.
Ask why was Viera sold? Why can't Arsenal dip into the transfer market like Man Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool and it all comes back to that they're feeling the squeeze from financing their new stadium. Thats why they are starting to struggle.
Also remember that Fabregas replaced Viera and he gets raved about time and again because he's quality and Arsenal didn't actually become weaker in midfield with Fabregas did they.
I aint going to post on this topic anymore as it's like trying to win an argument with a woman with you i.e. you never can.
Buenos noches.
