Can anyone give me some advice on a website I am buiding?
1/ Im hosting it in the USA and have model releases which state the models are over 18. will i need to provide the hosting companies with additional I.D?
2/ Its being constructed in Southern Ireland........if i send CD's with the images to my webmaster there would this be a problem with the Irish postoffice?
I assume we are all in the jolly old E.C and there is no border checks on software by post?
Obviously once the construction id finished in Ireland the site would be transferred on CD directly from there to the USA.
Does anyone foresee a problem? it does not contain any horrors just reasonably strong fetish stuff girl/girl fem don rubber games foot fetish C.P strap ons etc

I can only suggest you consult your lawyer, as although you are in the EU each EU country has different laws as to sending, or even uploading porn from that country.
Here in the UK it is illegal to send obscene material through the post. Now what constitutes obscene material has been changing rapidly, and although a girl with her legs wrapped around her ears might not be classed as obscene, some images of bondage, domination, handcuffs could be.

I can tell you that in the US it is LAW that you must have two forms of ID for each model and one of those must be a photo ID. You must have these all stored in a central location which should be indicated on all items you sell (where that location is and who to contact to get those documents). Take a look at any US porn film and it tells you this at some point. You also need a model release that gives you full rights to the prints/video etc that you are using.
Zipper as it spot on for the mailing of stuff, I can tell you that Ireland being an extremely religious country frowns on porn and their definition of obscene is stricter than it is here in the UK. As an example.. they only have ONE strip club (that I found anyway)in all of Dublin.

What I have read is the in the US you do need to have full ID, as there is a USA law that covers this.
As for post, the UK ist the covers the postal office but I do not think private firlms are covered. But to be honest sending cd's via the post I would not worry about, just make sure that you have a back up copy.
If I was you, go onto some us porn sites and rewad there legal notes, I often see on us sites somthing like "this site conforms to section....". The main thing is the model id, as the law in the us states that I think the police can do a check up on the models.
Even in the UIK, I keep a good file on all models, and all models that are 18 or over (that look young) I get copies of birth certificates and so on. Its too easy for a girl to say she is 18, then find out she is 17.
Why not email the photographs, or, why not upload the shots yourself to the site for ease.
