Re: adultvideo.co.uk
they deliver in about 2 weeks, the quailty is slighty better/about the same as your standard VHS.
they are recorded in mpeg1 so 'some' DVD players can play them, but not all.

Re: adultvideo.co.uk
Every time I have ordered from them the turn around has been about 4 days.
As for them being all being mpeg 1, think you are mistaken.
Every one I have gotten have been in layer 2 format, that is because its the only type of video that can be posted to the newsgroups they get their films from.

really?
qutoe "VCD uses the MPEG-1 standard to store video and audio in a high density form. As opposed to DVD that utilizes the MPEG-2."

Re: adultvideo.co.uk
I have used them once before and will be again in the near future.
Quality varies depending on what film, but it is similar to VHS (not worse!)
The price and choice is very good and turn around for me was about 3 weeks (probably depends on the amount that you buy!)
Only some of the disks worked on my DVD (but all on my PC), but they all work fine on my mates DVD!

Re: adultvideo.co.uk
it only works on DVD's that are 'backward' compatible (can read mpeg-1 and mpeg-2) which is stated in the link i provided - they can also be played playstation 2's, but only if you have bought a software pack called 'region-x'(get it from dixons, Game etc...) this allows all types of DVD's and VCD's to be played on the ps2 and also brings it upto the standard of your average standalone DVD players quality

Re: adultvideo.co.uk
Jay,
can you defo play them on a PS2 using 'region x' ???
I heard that you just cant play VCD's on a PS2 - except fpor very small files that you would have to burn yourself in a certain file format!
Have you actually dont this yourself???
Cheers

Re: adultvideo.co.uk
If you have a normal CD player on your PC and it is faster than 12x (just to give an indication of age) then you can play VCDs without a DVD player.
