I read that 1000 of these bastards were injured by slipping over in the mud and shit!! No, they didn't slip over, they deliberately fell into it for their own pseudo-sexual reasons!!

Can someone please tell me what the deal is with Paolo Nutini? Nice teeth nowt else. I had the misfortune to catch his set on TV. Aside from his camping it up Joe Dolce stylee, I was bewildered by his complete absence of talent. Yet another load of hype about curly tresses.

Still, The Arctics were good.

Well done The Who on Sunday, btw. A sparkling set with Pete's guitar work showing the youth of today how it should be done and Roger going at it with gusto despite the flu, apparently.

They couldn't have picked a better opportunity to belt out Won't Get Fooled Again either ("Meet the new boss/Same as the old boss"), considering what was happening elsewhere in politics on the same day. Nice one.

Glyndebourne with guitars. Give it time and it will move to Hampstead Heath or Finsbury Park so the upper classes don't get their Range Rovers muddy. I can hear the conversation "What, my Range Rover goes well over mud, fuck me wragged Jemima, never knew that"......

From a music point of view why can't the new bands sing or play well live? Where are the musical virtuosos of old, no decent solos or mega stage presecne.

Fogerty was good, Killers OK, Kasabian were weak, Shirley looks fit at 70 and Daltrey should go back to Trout fishing. I love The Who but they are way past it now. And Bjork has finally left planet Earth!

Glastonbury is the worst festival around.

Lots of trust-fund idiots, fashionistas and hippies listening to shitty indie music in the mud and acting in an oh so decadent fashion. If you're going to listen to that crap you might as well go to V-Festival where at least the facilities approach third world level.
