Wasn't there a MP once who said, 'Why should we do anything for posterity? What's posterity ever done for us?'?
Hard fact is, the next generation doesn't deserve global warming. Or budget deficits. Or Arab hatred. Or whatever. But they also don't 'deserve' electricity, or the internal combustion engine, or penicillin. Each generation gets what it gets. Has been that way for two million years.

that maybe true, but it's a hard nosed person that can sit back and
say
'fuck you next generation we are going to do wot we wanna do'

and if that means the potental end of our species then so be it

personally I prefer to have some thought for the future
