Turned into? always was as far as I'm concerned, a friend of mine who's in the T.V. and film industry has "worked" with Mr Gervais in the past and considers him to be one of the biggest C***s he's ever had the misfortune to meet.
Just for the record, I never 'got' The Office, apart from Brents' crap dance routine which made me laugh once.
Watching Brent/Gervais and that other unfunny tosser, Larry David arse-licking each other on a mutual appreciation programme on Beeb 2 made me feel distinctly queasy.

The thing is Gervaise is not a stand up comedian, he can't just knock out a few gags to fill time whilst Lady Elton has his usual hissy fit. Bernard Manning now, that's a different story. He'd have had them rolling in the aisles. Did you know he was Diana's favourite comedian? They've managed to keep it quiet, but she was often seen at the Embassy Club, though some of her boyfriends weren't too keen on some of Bernard's material.
