Well done Nookeys!

Post by lurker »

After reading some of the other forum remarks on Nookeys,
I decided to place an order with them for some DVDs.

I got an e-mail confirmation of the order, another
confirming dispatch and the disks (plus napkin)
arrived 3 days after ordering.

Most Impressive.

Keep an eye on your credit card statement. They took the payment twice in subsequent months, and although they were very helpful, they couldn't trace the error.

What Peter says is true, but let me assure you that Nookeys did not receive two payments.

I think Peter would agree that it was a bank/credit card screw-up.

Nookeys does not store Credit Card numbers nor even see them. A payment provider (MultiCards) handles all CC charges.

You may not have received two payments, but I made two. It may have been a CC screw up, but my CC issuer insist it was on your side of the transaction. If the company you use do not know what cards they are debiting and who they are crediting, then you're going to have serious problems persuading people to pay using a medium (the 'net) which is so rife with horror stories concerning credit card "mishaps"

Your service was excellent, spoiled by the financial errors.

I wish you sucess.

I get double-billed for cards all the time (3 in the last 2 months !!), and don't blame the suppliers.
Sure, it's a pain getting the duplicate cancelled, but you don't lose any money in the medium- or long-term.

I don't blame Nookeys for the problem, I just think that if your trying to to do (probably) one of the hardest things on the 'net, ie. sell porn paid by credit card, you'll be labelled dubious from day one.
When your CC agent "accidentally" takes an unauthorised payment, mysteriously fails to pass it on to the vendor, and can find no record of the transaction when challenged, it adds credibility to scam theories.

Just to be straight, I don't blame Nookeys, I have not lost out finacially, but I do think they should consider who is allowed to handle their finances. Most people will not differenciate between The Vendor and the payment provider, so any sh*t will come back on the innocent party.
