Why is it that women remember which actor married which actress/singer in 1974, what their maiden name was, and the names of the kids etc?

There were a number of crash sites throughout the New Mexico desert during 1947 and 1948, the Roswell case is the most notorious as it was reported in the press at the time and there were a number of witnesses to the debris found apart from the US Airforce. One possible reason these objects were in this area is the Airforce base in this region also housed the first atomic missiles and this has led some to believe the testing done for these bombs caught the attention of these objects. However it doesn't explain why they eventually crashed or why they would be interested in the first place bearing in mind Hiroshima happened in 1945 and the testings for those bombs were made two weeks before on 16th July of that year.
The "Roswell" incident certainly isn't a hoax, however whatever it was is still classed at the highest level by the US security services no matter what the US Airforce has revealed in recent years. I doubt very much we in our lifetime will ever know what happened there.

20). The CIA are called in to investigate how "security" was "breached".

21). The son of a former Roswell resident says, that as a small boy, he and some of his friends were playing when they saw a "flying saucer" crash.

22). The results of the CIA investigation are forbidden to be made public, and can only be viewed under the 25 year rule.

23). A farmer living near the crash site claims he saw "bright white lights crashing towards the ground". He only comes forward after 30 years!

24). The USAF release what they claim are the remains of the actual debris of that day and maintain that it was just a sliver weather ballon.

25). A woman driving along the highway near Roswell says in sworn statement she was followed by "a bright light, that suddenly vanished". Of course this is 30 years after the event. She makes a small fortune by selling her "story" to the tabloids.

And so on.

Exactly, Mike.

As a card-carrying atheist, this is the one question that gives me pause.
