Admittedly not the world's best drummer, he did, or so I've heard, recieve four times as much fan mail as any other Beatle at one point.
Also, sometime later when they visited the Maharishi Yogi, he was first back on the plane. So not the most easily fooled drummer either.

I agree, although limited in his drumming, came across as a decent scouser (if such a thing exists) whereas the rest seemed real cunts, although George did seem deluded with that Indian tosh.
