I was wondering about the old phrase I heard along time back.
Shut your mouth, & give your brain a chance to catch up.

P.S. that wasn't meant for you Warren, but I think that old phrase justifies some of what is talked about, Re: the previous statements quoted earlier.

Shut your mouth and give your brain a chance Wazza! !laugh!
Not being sarcastic Wazza, just asking a question.
When I was a school I was taught that starting a sentence with 'but' or 'and' was wrong.
Language is forever evolving mind, and I see you've committed these crimes on occasion (using 'but, not 'and'). Have these rules been phased out, and are the kids still taught this?
@Kramer - forgive me going OT.

Same thing when I was in school.

Most school education rules change every couple of years, the education depts. can't make their minds up on what kids should learn.
Do they still teach this in schools? I highly doubt it, my daughter's ability to write correctly is below the level of what I was at her age, & I am Dyslexic. Upon questioning her about her spelling, & what happens in school, her comment is "she is better that most of the kids in her class".
