I'm like you Liz - I have no kids but I have 3 nephews and 3 nieces, of which only 2 of my 3 nieces are in steady jobs which they like. The others are bloody lazy and given half a chance would sit around all day doing jack shit!!

Perhaps the Dad's that do wear their kids clothes think they are saving on a), purchasing costs and b), the cost of washing the items?

I know I've told this story before, it originally was from the evening/night-time News, but it's so fucking apt right now.

A few yrs ago, an advertising exec wanted to use Johny Cash's song, Ring of Fire for the very same type of Cream, for a primetime advertising campaign.

After listening to the exec describe what the advert was about & the jist of the storyboards, the people responsible spent ages pissing themselves laughing, they then politely told the exec, NO FUCKING WAY.

The dads are either

A: Fucking sick in the head.
B: Lost the last of their brain cells last time they had Diahorrhea.
C: A skin-tight stingy twat who wouldn't pay out to buy a new pair of crundy's, just steal them from the dead tramp during the autopsy.

I'd plump for A and C.

I've noticed this as well. A lot of it is sports casual clothing though, isn't it? Something which for a long time has been mass produced with this in mind. I'm not sure if there is a problem actually - what do the sons think? Popular with a certain social class, shall we say.

Then again, go into any upmarket bar and those still obsessed with youth will be lining the walls. Forty year old balding fatties in fancy shirts, trendy specs etc. You've seen them.
