A few of you may have read the papers today in regards to a TalkSport presenter calling Jamie Carragher a bottle on air and Carragher rang in and responded.
The interview is here.

Re: Is Jamie Carragher a bottler?
Nah, being away from Liverpool is difficult. The more time he spends away, the higher the chance his car will end up on four bricks with the radio missing.
Re: Is Jamie Carragher a bottler?
Carragher is an Anfield hero and England's best CB by far. He's done well in the England shirt and hasn't received any plaudits from their (currently crap) coaching staff and as such is calling it a day. So be it. It's his decision and one that I don't believe he'll regret.
Also good on him for calling them up, regardless of whether or not you agree with what he's done at least he had the balls to phone up and defending himself against a journo who thought he could rant away without any come back.

Re: Is Jamie Carragher a bottler?
He certainly did right to defend himself against this loud mouth twat
As he says at 29 he is not likely to be involved in the next world cup
and in some ways he shouldn't as younger players should have emerged
by then (if they have'nt put it down to breakdown in youth system)
He's been unlucky not to win more caps that's for sure because
of competition at centre back in last few years. If it prolongs his
club career then it's the right choice
No he's not a bottler in my opinion just a realist

Re: Is Jamie Carragher a bottler?
I forgot to state my opinion which is that Carragher definitely isn't a bottler.
Personally I see Carragher as a top player but not of the very highest class but the one thing he has is guts and determination in abundance.

Re: Is Jamie Carragher a bottler?
England's 3rd best central defender. He's a warrior, not a bottler.
Would always choose Ferdinand & Terry before him, but God knows how Ledley King was picked in front of him during the last few England games. Maybe with Terry and Carragher there's a lack of hight?
I do think Carragher is wrong to retire from international duty though. He's no bottler, but he has taken his ball and gone home (so to speak).
