No of course not, but in my humble opinion the five greatest actors are thus:

1. Robert De Niro
2. Jack Nicholson
3. Al Pacino
4. Paul Newman
5. Marlon Brando

And not because Andy Milman say's so, cause i have never watched one episode of Extra's or his other over-rated show The Office & Ricky Gervais is a tosser & so is that big bloke with the Glasses!

Goodfellas is a superb example of film-making, but not quite a superb film.

A little too slick and mechanical, with some characters (Pesci's, say) being slightly risible. Fine entertainment, but really nothing more. I think it's reputation owes a lot to Scorsese getting back on familiar territory after a wayward late 80s, plus the tough guys swearing and shooting vogue brought in by Resevoir Dogs a year or two later.

Casino struck me as being Scorsese by numbers. Cape Fear, his tribute to Hitchcock, stank like a corpse in a basement.

2. Robert De Niro
3. Jack NIcholson
4. Al Pacino
5. Paul Newman
6. Marlon Brando
7. Ricky Gervais

"So, are you saying De Niro is a fine actor but has lousy taste in British sitcoms? Or, is there just a wee possibility that you maybe wrong, and that Extras may be an innovative sitcom that attracts the cream of Holywood becuase it challenges the public's view of stardom, which would appeal to a man like De Niro."

Me and Ms Liz bought the entire series 1 of extras as we had never watched it on TV, I dont think we have ever laughed so much since we were kids, it is so cleverly observed and excrutiatingly painful to view, but Gervais and Merchant do this better than anyone. imho. brilliant

60% really funny, 40% squirming uncomfortably.

I liked Extras, and I'm not ashamed to say it.
