The Adverts they were good I used to have a pic of Gaye on the wall opposite my bed from 1977-03.

Personally I think real punk came with the 2nd wave of punk....much more working class and from the streets and not art schools or Bromley.

Discharge, GBH, Exploited, Vice Squad, Conflict.

Nah, these were trying to flog a dead horse Chris, jumped on the band wagon........many had a hardcore Oi following with skinheads and NF.
A bit like your beloved Stranglers jumping on the original punk bandwagon !wink!
