Aghh, that's what I love about the UK. Even the beggars are polite!
What's weird though, is that while a homeless guy selling the big issue, or just a general beggar, will ask once and go away; salesmen and people wanting your time to fill in surveys will ask and beg over and over again.
The person with the clipboard and cheesy smile are the ones best avoided.
