No, not 2 cards, it can mimic onto multiple outputs from the same card, at the same time.

DirectX 10 is the Driver software for your computer, the graphics versions.

thanx snake dont mean to sound thick but only been a pc user for a year didnt know how to turn one on a year ago but trying to learn
laptop is only couple months old so hopefully itll do wot i want

I know snake has already supplied an answer but will try to make it simple.

Usually, when you write a program (any program) for Windows you have to write the code so that first it is passed to Windows, then Windows passes it to the hardware.

But people who write games like to bypass Windows and to speed things up write direct to the hardware (graphics, sound etc).

To make Windows a better platform for games Microsoft product a set of programs called DirectX that basically allow a person who writes games to bypass the overhead of Windows and write almost directly to the hardware.

This makes Windows a better platform for Gamers.

Vista has now got DirectX 10 and in future some games will specify they only work on DirectX 10 (this is to encourage people to move to Vista).
