Download help?

..just got a DVD rewriter and have burned a few DVDs from a website (using NERO)..the picture is fine but the sound's all over the place..any advice as to what i'm doing wrong..many thanks in advance..LB.

Changes in volume?
Out of sync with picture?
Low quality / distorted?
