As jj says there is no such thing, but ...

you might find something useful at

for Golden Age stuff IMDB is useful

Otherwise the best bet is to search the database of a large video supplier, even one in the USA as some of them carry imported titles not listed on iafd.

or Nookeys - see links.

Because of the tendecny to translate titles it's best to search for actresses. Which ones were you looking for anyway?

Thanks for the links Alec.

Always a little pissed off with IAFD with their lack of European content.Surely it is not to much to ask for just titles under the director/producer/studio.I just wonder who IAFD is sponsored by.

Ah well, I suppose the Yanks' definition of international in this case is at least consistent with their view that the Superbowl winners are the "world champions" of American football!

They do the same with Baseball...a 'world series' in which the Yanks are the only participants. Complete cobblers.

I think Alec has explained this before: IAFD is compiled by a Dutchman, Peter van Arle, who apparently has little or no interest in the output of his natal continent.
It's understandable up to a point, as the Euro scene is very confused in terms of titling and renaming of actors, and the US output alone is staggeringly huge. He's got quite enough to cope with.
If I win the lottery, or someone would care to donate a small sum in excess of ?15MK, I'll retire and make a start.

In this context I think 'international' means any film released in the USA regardless of its country of production, but the US output is so huge it's not complete even for that. There are European films there - all of Private's output for example, and a few French golden age films under their US titles, e.g. La Grande baise as Kinky Ladies of Bourbon Street.

Well, actually, U.S. labels such as Cabllero & sister company Vidco carried a lot of European porn films in the 1980's & early 90's. What happened was, European product got too "nasty" for U.S. distribution sans cuts, & it wasn't worth the money or effort along w/ having to dub dialogue, considering how much domestic output was available on a glutted market. Then Private got into the act with glossy, dirty but not "extreme" stuff, & American companies started going to Europe & the U. K. to make vids such as "Sodomania",& the Ben Dover phenomenon began, & the entire thing became moot.A lot of Euro movies are still not marketed in the U.S. at all tho.

Thanks for the explanation. Actually the USA is still the only place we can easily get (at least in the UK) some of the early Euro stuff, apart from the DVDs now being released in France by Blue One and in Germany by Ribu and Tabu.
