Denise Van Outen is to star in a BBC version of The Emperor?s New Clothes.

The host and actress is to begin filming on The Empress?s New Clothes - a reworked version of the fairytale classic - in coming days.

Hans Christian Andersen?s story follows the leader who is convinced he is wearing invisible clothes but is then shamed when he appears nude in public.

Van Outen will bare some flesh for the role, according to The Sun, although producers are said to be negotiating how much.
