Well, I say 'receive'- I mean that in the transplant sense, as opposed to the 'right up the jacksie' form of the phrase.

However, if you would like to receive as I didn't intend, each to their own, good on ya, fair play chap, etc etc.

Once your on the way out I can't see what harm their would be in using your 'spare parts' to save the lives of countless others

In Australia you can register as an organ donor like myself but your family has the last say...bloody stupid in my opinion

The opt out system is the only way to make sure organs are available for those on the waiting lists

As for doctors killing you to get their hands on your organs
Under the current system it might seem plausible but highly unlikely

Its only those that are in palliative care that want to go that are 'illegally' helped on their way via morphine that I'm aware of

Well the guy is question was 'helped' and it didn't work out for for anyone.

"Donation after cardiac death involves patients who have suffered a devastating brain injury and require ventilators to breathe but who still have minimal brain function.

In such cases, patients are removed from life support with their families' consent. Generally, their hearts stop within minutes and they are declared dead. Their organs are then harvested."

The patient lived for another 7 hours after being given all those drugs, what's to say he would not have lived longer or recovered if he had not been given the drugs. I wish it gave more info about what this brain injury was.
