I've never had much luck with my motorbikes. I've had three and had accidents with each one! The first one was when I was 17 - I had one of those 'fizzies' - got knocked off, no cuts just a few bruises! The second when I was 20 on my Yamaha YB100 whilst waiting at the traffic lights this cretin just rams me in the back - again no cuts only bruises! The third was when I slipped over a wet man-hole cover on my Honda 250 17 years ago! I must be very fortunate as I've never been seriously injured.

Sidecar.

Post by Trumpton »

I remember in the mid-60's that my uncle had a motorbike and sidecar. I think it was a Norton 750. My cousins and I would be crammed into the sidecar and the journey would be somewhat hazardous because of the lack of stability of the machine. We would rock and roll all over the place, sometimes the wheel on the sidecar would lift off the road! You don't see many sidecars these days - I wonder why?
