My chemical romance

Post by BeestonBoy »

Hey

As we have established on other threads I am in fact an old, outta touch cunt!!

How ever is it me,or are these perhaps one of the best bands around right now?

If im honest I have only really heard the last three singles but they have been fecking good. They look and sound like a real rock band, without resorting to being overly odd (like Maryln Manson) to attract fans.

Certainy a band worth keeping an eye on. Think they could be around for a little while. Certainly more fun than the British attempt at milking the "indie" scene for all its worth. But I will save that rant for when im sober!!

Cheers

bunch of pointless whining emo twats.

if you've been accused of being an old duffer then liking them is too far in t'other direction. this is music for 14 year olds who think they have the worst life in the world cos mummy won't let them go to glasto with tristan and tristan's ''super cool'' mother.

Not a bad band - in fact they do have their moments - but symptomatic of an industry that ruthlessly markets to a certain audience (here the "Boo hoo, I won't tidy my room!" 14-yr old black-eyeliner brigade, it seems). Certainly one to watch should they try to widen their appeal, which they well may need to do with things being as they are.

Sorry that is a really un-fair comment (imvho) as TLW says, that is really just because of the industry. They certainly are being marketed at the "black eye liner brigade" and will be frowned upon by older listeners because of that.

But if you can manage to look beyond that I think they are better than most in the genre. I just hope they can move out of this niche and attract an older audience. I think this would be good for them and the record industry.

I think they are pretty good and I am a 39 YO Led Zepp, Floyd and Purple fan. Their guitarist isn't bad at all and they don't take themselves too seriously. I'm not OK was a superb single.
