I know you didn't say Gerrard dived. I said that on other football message boards some Chelsea fans were saying Gerrard dived for that pen against Sheff Utd.
Some (on other forums) have even suggested that Gerrard dived for the free kick against Villa last week which seeing as he stayed on his feet and never ended up on the floor is totally ridiculous.
What I don't agree with is that because we got a debateable free kick against Villa for us and a penalty that never was versus Chelsea against us that those have negated each other with a 2 points lost versus a 2 points gained scenario and therefore it's all even.
The Villa free kick was debateable. There was contact and Gerrard "was" checked but was there enough contact for a it to be free kick? Doubtful but debateable decisions like that happen something like 10 or 15 times a game.
The Chelsea pen was never in a month of Sundays and as I said before the difficulty in smacking it in from 25 yards over a wall compared to the fairly easy task of scoring from 12 yards is massive.
Well that's my opinion anyway. Obviously you are entitled to yours so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Fair enough. Smacking the ball over the wall, 25 yards out is a lot harder than from the spot, I'll agree with you there. Still, the Villa fans would feel just as 'robbed' as the Pool fans do now, since both instances finished off with the ball hitting the back of the net.
Also remember the timing. For Villa it was the last few minutes, with no time to rectify the mistake. The only thing Liverpool could take from Rob Styles' decision was they still had 35 mins to score another.
For the record I wanted Liverpool to win, and Styles is a right nobhead. This at least we can agree on.

Not according to a former Liverpool captain and BBC football pundit... he was of the opinion that it was never a free kick as the ball had been won cleanly by the Villa defender.
Still, you obviously have a greater grasp of football than Alan Hansen!
... and you obviously know more about maths than everyone else, too... Liverpool get two extra points against Villa, but lose two to Chelsea and that doesn't even itself out!!! !sick! !sick! !sick!

You will be waiting a long time because Liverpool totally outplayed Viilla and the 3 points were deserved.
I watched the game myself and read 5 or 6 newspaper reports that all said the same.
I haven't read all the posts in this thread as I haven't time to read all the posts on this forum but I was a little surprised as to your previous post on this topic.
Before I read your post I thought here we go again with the I hate scousers and Liverpool Football Club stuff but you didn't do that for a change. You actually stated your opinion fairly intelligently. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with it but you made your point without resorting to your usual stuff.
I got the feeling from the tone of your last paragraph in this post that you are heading down the I hate scousers and LFC road again but why not leave all that out for a change and have an reasonable debate.
You've made your point, I've made mine and others there's and nobody is neccessarily right. It's all opinons and everybody's got them and entitled to them.
If I jumped the gun and you weren't heading down the I hate scousers road then you have my apologies but I've seen too many of your previous posts and can see the warning signs.
Up the Liverpool.

Under the latest guidelines, the guy shouting at the fourth official could be done for offensive behaviour---making homophobic remarks.
At least Liverpool got a point. We lost three when we got a man sent off for a perfectly clean tackle while we were a goal up.
Oh, and it'll be interesting to see what happens over that stushie at Pitto'dire yesterday.

...............but obviously not as much as you because you are the King as always.
I knew you couldn't have a reasonable debate. You never can. You've always got to be right and you're never wrong and can never see that somebody can have a different opinion than yours. You've also always got to try and make it personal by trying to put people down.
I knew you'd go down that road whether it was the I hate scousers or the personal thing as you're so predictable and quite frankly very sad.
Oh and remember that shock horror............. it's only Alan Hansen's opinion and not the gospel according to Saint Alan.
