Porn in Australia soon to be under fire AGAIN
O/T Question.
Why, in Australia, do they spell Labour the American way i.e., Labor? They spell everything else the British way i.e., putting 'u's in the correct places!

For a country so full of sheep the banning of HC porn could be bad news for farmers............shotguns at the ready Bruce!
Seriously Aussie men are so butch and macho that I cannot imagine they would be offended by porn? I get the feeling that both Aussies and Kiwis are actually a bit backward when it comes to freedom of speech and overt sexual behaviour.

A lot of video hire places here in NZ have an Adult section.
Censorship rules pretty similar to the UK.

Easily the most admired foreigners down under are either British or American - the two nationalities we spend most of our time poking fun at. You know an Aussie likes you if they make fun at your expense. Feel free to reciprocate.

I can still remember in 1991 watching the Melbourne Cup in a pub called the Crystal Palace which was close to Sydney Railway Station (Kingston Rule won it and I backed it).
There were a bunch of lads in there who were electricians for the Sydney Met. There foreman was on at me all the time, taking the piss, ridiculing everything English. As normal in my life I gave as good as I got.
Just when I was thinking that I was not going to get out of that place alive that same foreman approached the bar and offered me a drink. I was a little taken a back by this offer when he said "Don't worry about all that. I was just testing you, you English bastard".
We still exchange Xmas cards to this day even though we haven't seen each other for 7 or 8 years.
I'd like to go back to Australia again someday. Maybe if I pinch a loaf of bread I might get a free journey.
I thought it was the Kiwi's that you lot poked fun at the most?
