Re: Whipping children & pregnant women
It is Haltwhistle, small town between Carlisle and Hexham on the A69. Full of nutters with weak Geordie accents. And they probably do beat women and children. However 2 of my colleagues live there (fuck knows why, must be cheap housing) and they say the best thing about the town is every bank holiday when the locals have a massed fight at closing time!
Re: Whipping children & pregnant women
No. Haltwhistle definitely isn't Rhyl.
They're spelt differently, for a start.
Perhaps there's a country where 'Rhyl' is spelt 'Rhyl' and pronounced
'Haltwhistle' but my knowledge of foreign ways is sparse indeed....

"Beat your wife and child everyday; if you don't know why, they do."
It's either a Chinese, or Arabian proverb.

What are the chances of the government introducing this to combat social meltdown?
Re: Whipping children & pregnant women
So quite long odds then?
