Thanks for yours and Richie's comments Arnold. As another commentator pointed out, the stuff featured on TVX and TAC tends to lean away from the gonzo type stuff and more towards the feature film variety, complete with usually pathetic 'storylines, so the cutting of them tends to affect 'em pretty bad. I agree that some films such as Shock are in evidence, but they tend to be the exception rather than the norm. I am definitely in favour of uncut U.S. material; I just think the censored stuff attracts more attention to the crazy plots.
Would it also be fair to say that British produced material leans towards the gonzo variety, and is therefore even more suited to the censored environments of the British sat. channels?
I can't really comment on Shock's soundtrack, as I tend to view with a low volume! Or maybe that bloke who used to voice over the German and Dutch fayre tried my patience too much.......

me to answer teds original question, which was
a good one.
The UK "repression" is not so total as to
completed stamp out access to porn. I would expect
that most contributors to the BGAFD forum - especially
because of their better access to information - will
have seen representative examples of hardcore
american porn and are able to critique it on its
specific merits.
I like a lot of American porn, but there is a tendency
towards 'silicon-enhancement' that I find extremely
annoying. Too many American porn stars look like
Barbie girls. If there was any justice the the most
popular porn star would be someone like Chloe Nicholle.

I was just curious as to how people would rate Brit vs American porn 'like for like' since, as I have previously tried to say, I believe Brit stuff triumphs convincingly on the sat. channels, but I'm not so sure with regard to the undiluted stuff.
