Magoo talks sense shocker! I've always loved the Comic Strip: they finally pushed open the doors that Beyond the Fringe and the Pythons opened a little- replacing tired old comedy with the comedy we have today.

The Fives, Bad News and the Bullshitters were good, but it could be quite patchy in places.

The Strike is magnificent, and GLC isn't far behind it. All the stuff was released on DVD last year for a very good price. Wish I'd bought it.

I like Spinal Tap.

The second Bullshitters one was great----with Jim Broadbent as Shouty Inspector George ("I'm a 20 guv a day man"), and Phil Cornwall as Geordie tec Spanker. Best of all, Peter Richardson as Jason Bentley.
